GPL VROC and Logitech Profiler Prob

by Crai » Mon, 24 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Hi
I've just tried VROC for the first time and found my GPI profile is not
being used. I made a copy of the GPL profile and set it to either
winvroc.exe or GPLlaunch.exe as the executable and still no luck.
I guess that when VROC launches GPL it must pass some parameters to it,
maybe this is why the profiler cannot recognise GPL is being launched.

Any advice welcome.

Hi Craig,

Once you have created your online profile you have to ensure it is
loaded before you get in WinVROC.

Open up the profiler (which is usually resident in your systray) and
select your online profile (the one that points to GPLLaunch.exe) in
the Select Game menu.  Then close the profiler.

That has worked for me and others who had the same problem.  Good luck.

Phil

GPL VROC and Logitech Profiler Prob

I had the same problem which was quite annoying, and my solution to it
was to create a profile in Wingman Profiler called WinVROC and pointed
it to the Winvroc.exe file in the Winvroc folder. Now everytime I
execute Winvroc it loads the profile with it. The problem with the
wingman profiler is that it launches the profile if you actually start
the program yourself, if an application is used to start GPL ( like
WinVROC)then Wingman Profiler doesn't know it is running and therefore
the profile isn't loaded into memory even though Wingman profiler is
in memory displayed on your system tray.

Cheers.
