The two to get are SBK2001 (EA) and GP500 (Microprose).  Both are
challenging sims with good graphics (roughly even on that score, with some
nice tracks in SBK, but some really nice bikes in GP, and both have replays
that you will want to watch).  I'm still waiting for a controller and a game
that will actually let you simulate counter-steering, though.

Keyboard? Ack!
There's at least two sportbike controllers.  Ducati makes one, I can't
remember who puts out the other.  The FF Wheel is a smoother, more
controllable option, but the joystick at least "leans" in the right
direction.  In short, controller preference is just that - a preference.

Well, I've never been on a motorcycle.  So from my point of view, my statement
stands...<g>  I'd like to try a motorcycle sometime, though.  I don't know
anyone who has a NORMAL bike.  I have no interest in 'trying' my friend's
Ninja... :)

signed up for a drivers licence class...

Damn Eldred.  You should have mentioned it before I sold my 1100
Virago!  You'd have fallen in love with that cruiser.

What is a "Normal" bike anywayz? I agree, a Ninja is *no* way to learn
riding on a motorcycle but hey as 'Todd Walker' he had or has a Honda
50cc'er...lol

Normal, meaning NOT a 'crotch rocket'.  Normal, as in having a power/weight
ratio that won't put you in orbit...<g>

look like a hoot.

See my other response first, but there are "Ninjas" that are actually
generally considered to be good starter sportbikes.  After all, the name
won't kill you.  My first bike was also a Ninja - a 1999 500R (aka EX-500).
It had a 500cc motor that put out about 50hp - plenty quick, but with a
decent upright (relatively) riding position that allowed beginners like me
to get comfortable riding.  Of course, your options aren't limited to just
sportbikes.

What brought this on? I certainly agree but for only the "newbees." We
know that Eldred has no intentions of getting a motorcycle or at least it
was just to 'razz' him a bit.. Now we are into MSF? Phew..What next
seat'belts on motorcycles?
