Hi,

I've seen handlebar / wheel type controller for bike games here in
Cape Town, South Africa.  I think its called the Ducatti Corser
(doesn't he drive a honda?).  Anyway it has a twist-grip and proper
handlebars.

I've been trying to find a link on the web to no avail.  Strange.

Anybody here bought one and can comment on it?

Regards,
Ian

You could, but pedals are anolog and buttons are not. Best to use
analog pedals, unless you have a wheel with analog paddles. I remember
the GP1 wheel by Thrustmaster had analog paddles on the back of the
wheel.

You can put analog pedals with a joystick too..:o) Btw: TM's Ferrari has
paddles & I use this for all my sims except bike racing. I use a Guillemot
FF joystick! Nice quick throw with good tight action & FFB..

I use an FF-stick with a bit of centering spring enabled. Works quite well,
as I find a wheel just doesn't feel right. ;-)

There are handlebar controllers out there, but I've not read many positive
comments about them.

I watched a race from Monza last night, unreal how they were bumping elbows
on the final lap.  Have to say it's one of the most exciting form's of
racing to watch on the tube.  The commentators are also great, didn't catch
the bloke's name though.

I also have a CH stick setup (Fighterstick, Pro Pedals, and Pro
Throttle) in addition to a MS SW FF Wheel.

I tried the Superbike 2000 demo a while ago and it played great with
my stick.

Nah - don't want something that un-sim like!

I just may do that!

Thanks,

-pw

GP500 is the most simlike, but it's graphics are not quite as good as
SBK2001

I've played the demo of GP500 and SBK2001 in it's most realistic mode
feel equally sim-like to me. SBK2001 gets the hands-down winner in the
graphics department though. Actually, I think SBK2001 has the best
graphics engine of any racing sim, even better than F1RC.

Can you imagine if EA was smart enuff to use the developers & game
engine from 'SBK2001' and use it for 'F1CS2K' or on their next sim?
Now this would kick azz against all the sims! F1 aka CART Anyone?
