Congrats to Neil for winning on ability.

Congrats to David for coming second on a good fuel strategy.

I .. ah .. ran out of fuel, despite my best calculations -- that I
thought were very clever -- during the practice session. I'm not sure
whether Neil was lapping me, or whether he'd gone off in a serious
way, but we were having a great dice when my motor died at the end of
the Mulsanne straight. I was faster in a straight line; he was faster
in the corners (going in and coming out). It would have been
interesting if it had continued the rest of the lap.

Bathurst is going to take a lot of practice! No grip in the corners
and  the car is bouncing all over the track in the twisty section. I
need a setup guru to come and live at my house for the rest of the
week. (Free beer if you're interested.)

Yea, and good job to you too Darryl.  The final laps
were amazing to watch.

My apologies to Mitch.  I slid off the left side of
the track, and was motoring along in the grass longer than
I needed in order to let Darryl by.  You were obscured by
a cloud of dust and when I saw you I couldn't avoid the
collision.  I made use of the available invulnerability,
and ran the race until I ran out of fuel.

Me too.  I was running more or less stock.  Are there
guides for tunning setups?

I've only driven Bathurst once, and it is a great
track.  But it totally upsets my car.

No apoligies needed Larry.  It was ALL my own fault :)  Thought I was
gonna do ok when practicing but when the race started I pushed much
harder than I shoulda and took myself out.  On top of that I hadnt had
my morning coffee and still had sand in my eyes and the foolball game
was startin and the dog was barkin and... <g>.

Bathurst is a roller coaster ride but Im looking forward to it :)

Perhaps you could give your car some Prozac.  Then it might not be
so 'upset'.

dave(who's car could probably go faster with a pill than one of his own setups)

I was awful. :-) It wasn't until the last couple of laps that I was able to
come within a few seconds of the times that you guys were doing in the
practice session. I didn't practice all week, and it showed. Sorry for not
providing some competition.
