I always run in a pair of socks.  Running with shoes on does not give enough
of a feel of a pedal and running with no socks on gives me a tendency to
hurt myself somehow and my cats attack my feet while driving.
If your serious look into a pair of Simpson Racing Shoes.  I think you can
bye a pair for racing/every day life.  They are really soft but durable
shoes, I know my friend has a pair.  They make good real life racing shoes
and would probably work well for sims.

Bear feet - now that's an original idea. Polar, grizzly or black?

Use slippers myself.

I have a Thrustmaster NASCAR pro wheel and it has convex grooves on the gas and
concave grooves on the brak pedal so i duct taped rags around the pedals and i
wear socks to give me a better feel for the pedals.  I dont know about the other
owners of a Thrustmaser NPRO wheel, but all the springs on my pedals broke so
I'm using a light Carb replacement spring on my throttle, and a heavy one on the
brake. Time to upgrade to FF for me!!!!!

I got these cool (fruity looking though) gray slippers made by "Hanes" they
are mens slippers and have a leather bottom (very thin). Best thing for
driving the sim car. Still get the feel of your pedals and they keep your
feet warm they dont adhere to the pedals either . They were only $10 at
Zellers.

Ok I'll skip the MGPRS2 reference here but here is my answer ;-)

OMP Hi-Top shoes, exterior made of suede and nomex interior.  They work
incredibly well with CH pedals especially since it's made of carbon fiber
sole for increased rigidity but without the loss of pedal sensitivity.
Quite expensive (200$), but heck since I can't race anymore, I re-use my old
racing gear ;)

Just socks for me :-) However if I'm racing online I always make sure
I'm wearing one of my lucky Union Jack pairs...

I have a TMF1 and an MSFF, and it's the same for both.

I myself go with bare feet usually, unless it's the dead of winter and
the heat's on the fritz then I put on my toasty warm socks. :)

I always drive in a form-fitting metal-flake gold lam bodysuit.  For
special events, I add a feather boa.

No, not really, . . . I drive in a pair of socks to, like in your
experience, better help the pedal slide against the bottom of the foot.
This isn't a big problem with my Logitech FF, but is rather just a holdover
from my previous rig, a Thrustmaster SuperSport, whose pedals were too
grippy for either shoes, or bare-feetness.

Salut Francois,

I've seen you make this reference a few times, what series did you

Sweat-socks. (The type usually worn with sneakers as opposed to thin socks
worn with business shoes).

I allways drive just wearing socks on my feet. It gives the best feel.
And maybe I can scare some opponents away with the stink.
