I thought I once talked to you about this.  Probably to another Qubecian
NROSer back in the days ;)  It was at Mont-Tremblant, in a Volvo private
series of Canada.  As private, It was between Volvo car dealers of Canada.
IIRC the series had a race in Gimli and Race City Park, but unfortunately it
doesn't exist anymore.  Some drivers from that series have probably moved
ito CASC or BARC.  That was "before" my bike accident.

Your going to the F1 GP Pierre je crois?

ECCI pedals, which were originally small flat plate pedals. I converted them to
roller pedals to get rid of the friction between foot and pedal. I've
reconverted the brake to a full length plate pedal over the roller, and the gas
is still a roller. So... for the brake foot I wear a Acorn brand fleece/leather
slipper. For the gas, because it's still a roller, the soft slipper bottom
offered to much friction, so I use a very thin, but hard soled, chinese
slipper. Pedal feel is critical in GPL, and it's hard to come by for me. I'm
still not happy with my setup.

Could you please take a few lines just to enlighten us all as to exactly
WHAT is a "convex groove"?
This has me baffled.

I think he/she means the holes in the gas pedal are countersunk, while the
holes in the brake pedal have ridges, Bruce.

Towelling socks, or soft slippers, or trainers. Never barefoot, or
with shoes or boots.

Yep, me and 3 other VROC'ers are going together. We'll be
seated in section 21. I'm looking forward to meeting some
of the people I race with.

I have an ACT-LABS Force RS and RS Shifter setup.

I use ankle high 'runners' socks for racing.  My feet don't get too warm and I
have excellent feel for the pedal.  I cannot race with shoes on.  I just can't
seem to get any feel for it.

Egad, I though when I used to race barefoot that I was the only one! I
now use my shoes, crosstrainer/boot type. I found that with my
barefoot, I would tend to use my toe to much and it would get very
tired. I started with only a shoe on my right foot, and then converted
to shoes on both feet. I use a set of Dave Harrison pedals, with my
*** GP1. If I am lucky Dave will have me a wheel sometime! :-)
Dave's pedals are very nice and large so they fit my foot well. they
have tons of travel and make for a much better racing experience. Now
if I could just find the time to race. . .

The hot ticket for go kart racing (doesn't require flame retardent
clothing) is: wrestling shoes!  Close enough in construction and pedal
feel as high-dollar, purpose-bought racing shoes.

Stocking feet.  I like to curl my toes over the tops of the pedals.
It tends to take the springs out of the equation.

I wear socks, but it just doesn't stop at the feet :-)  I have to wear the same
pair of baggy jeans, that I've broken in.  If I wear tighter pants, it just
doesn't feel right.   The shirt has to be a T-shirt too.  My arms need full
motion.

Basically, its my driving suit :-)
