OK....After reading everyones advice I almost have it figured out......I
think....I was thinking of getting the Screamin 3d (its relatively cheap) to
replace my current 2mb  Gateway stb et 6000.....(birthday present to
myself)......then buy the new Voodoo2 when it comes out next year for 3dfx
(belated christmas present to myself).....Sound good?????   The only games I
really play are N2, ICR2, GP2, and NHL98.....and I am still considering CPR,
UBI F1, and SODA........Can't wait for GPL!!!!!

Or do I just go crazy and buy the total3d/pure3d package from canopus right
now?????????

Go CRAZY man....I own the Total3D/Pure3D combo!
I think they ROCK together!
One problem you will have is playing GP2.
Your STB ET6000 will run GP2 faster than any
64-bit card will.
So I'm just waiting for a 400MHZ to play it.

Well, you could do this, but you wouldn't be able to run Rendition ICR2,
which would be a drag.

If they can ever get the problems with Rendition ICR2 and the new
Rendition 2100 chipset worked out, then the best way to go would be with
a Stealth 2 (Rendition) for $99 and one of the Voodoo2 cards when they
come out.

You mean Pentium 600. I did some calculations and that's what I figured you
need in order to run in in 640x480 will all the detail on as well as all the
graphic features (like smoke) in order to get 30fps. I got a feeling we'll be
waiting for a while. So much for good programming :)
