Well, it's true, the patch is available at http://www.racesimcentral.net/,
although in the install program is says 'Beta'. Everything installed
fine, although I did have to do that thing it says in the 'readme3d.txt'
file where if you use a Pure3D you have to copy that GLIDE2X.OVL file
from the Pure3D cd-rom to the Nascar2 directory. I also found no
documentation about the GNS3DFX.BAT and .EXE files, but easily assumed
they were for if you have the Grand National Pack installed. After
doing those 2 things, the game ran fine. The actual racing gameplay is
better, framerates especially, and the opponents cars are beautiful.
The background scenery seems to be softened too much maybe? Judge for
yourself I guess. Hopefully someone will come up with some graphically
optimized settings and framerate optimized settings for those values
shown in the readme3d.txt file. No time to take screenshots, I'm goin'
racin'! hehe
