Excellent. The pitboard is very, very annoying. I don't like having to wait
to see my lap time. Thanks a lot.

Just a thought...The spacebar is used to activate the raising of
the driver's arm, why not an option to view an additional pit-sign
anywhere on the track instead?...A nice little recall feature.

Cheers!

Marc

>Now for those of you who aren't so bothered by realism (or simply believe
>that you have very fast mechanics <g>), change the same line to:

>pit_board = 30.2 300.0 -100.0 100.0 ; dlat of board, dlong of board,
>dlong LOS start, dlong LOS end (last 2 not used)

>The pitboard will now appear on the left shortly after crossing the
>start/finish line - but it will be showing the time for the lap just
>completed!

Thanks for that man. I did a 1:30.62 today but by the time I saw it on the
pit board stopped rewound the replay it only got to a lock up on the last
corner and stopped so all I had of the lap was the last 10th of the lap.
From then on everytime I thought I did a good lap I would stop and check it.
The thing is if it wasnt that fast you have to do a whole lap before you can
try again. Had to settle with a 1:30.89.

  Todd.

Good idea.
Perhaps the "P" key could also be used for the same thing?
I am curious as to the reason for the "rasing of the arm" feature.  I
initially thought that it may be (a)the way of signalling to the pits
that you were coming in next time around, or (b)asking a slow driver to
get outta the ***y way or(c)waving to your loyal group of fans, who
would cheer like ***y when the arm went up!

However, now that pitting has been confirmed as not part of the
game-plan, that's out of the equation.

Any ideas?

Too true, Richard.
As far as I've been able to determine the pit board was always hung from
the pit "wall"....that's where the timers were, not over the other side
of the track or down the road a bit.

A drying feature in the event you forgot to apply antiperspirant.

Look really closely at his fist, he might be giving the finger! :)

LOL!  Every little bit helps! it must have been pretty bad in those
driver suits on a hot day back then! (even worse today I would bet!)

LOL! Good one.

To be serious though: how about signaling other drivers that you are in
trouble? Perhaps they will make even the AI understand so they don't bang
into you!
