Hmm, great post. I've had this happen as well but I've also had it return
properly to 800x600. Maybe the MS guy can help you but it must be dependent
on how you exit.

Mine returned to 800x600 at first. But surprise surprise
when I next booted my system, the desktop resolution
was mysteriously set to 640x480 !
