the best frame rate? Or should I be using open GL and what are those
settings. Also what drivers should I be using for the video card?

I run 1280*1024 with the detail slider bar on half. The reason I turn the
detail bar down is that I like to run full grid AI races, and still get
close to 36 fps (I have p3-650). Also I use the 6.50 D3 drivers from
www.nvidia.com . I use these because they're the latest official drivers,
and I don't like using beta drivers, but I have heard that some of the other
drivers may be faster. I don't use FSAA.
Hope that helps :)

I read the 12.40 drivers have astropic filtering or something like
that. Anybody experimented with this in GPL? What does it do exactly
and does it hit the fps like FSAA does?
Andre
If you can't see the difference, look at the texture on the nose of the car.
