Well not exactly new, but you can add non restrictor plate versions of
Daytona, Daytona-night & Talladega as extra tracks.

First you need Nigel Pattinson's DatX, from www.theuspits.com &
Klaus H?rbrand's Winmip 2 from http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Now go to the NASCAR4\tracks folder & make a copy of the "daytona" folder,
paste it in the tracks folder so you end up with a "copy of daytona" folder,
rename this to "daytonaNP". In your new "daytonaNP" folder rename
"daytona.cam"
to "daytonaNP.cam" & "daytona.dat" to "daytonaNP.dat".

Next you need to unpack the "daytonaNP.dat" with DatX, but if you use DatX
on its own it unpacks all the files into the "daytonaNP" folder & you only
need one file out of it, so unpack it through Winmip 2 & it will unpack it
into a folder called "unpack" in
the "daytonaNP" folder.

Ok, in the "unpack" folder is a file called "daytona.ptf", rename it to
"daytonaNP.ptf" & move it to the "daytonaNP" folder, then delete the
"unpack" folder.

Open the "track.ini" with notepad & edit the line "track_name_short =
Daytona" to
read "track_name_short = Daytona (No Plates)", and edit the line
"chassis_type = 1" to read "chassis_type = 2".

Right, that's the track done, now you've just got to make it show up in the
game.
In the NASCAR4\series\cup folder is a file called "all.ini", open it with
notepad
& copy the section,

[ Event6 ]
day = 19                                 ; Day of the event [1-31]
month = 3                                ; Month of the event [1-12]
name = Daytona 500                   ; Name of the event
numberOfLaps = 200                       ; Number of laps for the race
session
trackDirectory = daytona               ; Directory for the track data
startingGrid = 1    ; Starting grid: grid_2x2_InLinePoleOnLeft

& paste it in after the daytona entry, leaving a blank line at both ends,
edit the [ Event6 ] to [ Event7 ] & edit the line "trackDirectory = daytona"
to "trackDirectory = daytonaNP".

Now go through the rest of the events changing the event numbers to keep
them
consecutive, at the end of the "all.ini" is

[ Season ]
name = All Tracks    ; Name of the season
numEvents = 24                            ; Number of events in the season
year = 2000                              ; Year for the season

Edit "numEvents = 24" to "numEvents = 25" and save.

You've just got to do that all again twice more for Daytona-Night &
Talladega & your finished,

That's it all done, and they even show up in the best laps screen.

Seeing that you can extract the .dat files for tracks, do you have a way
of importing these tracks into GPL?

While on the exterior, they both share a same .dat file, on the inside
Papyrus unfortunately completely changed their TRK and 3DO file structure.
They are no longer present, and replaced by something else and unique now.
Track creators are scratching their heads since the release to try to figure
what to do with them.

Some people do nothing wrong.
The problem is, they do nothing.
And THAT is wrong.
