If they would allow sidewinders on a Dodge at Dover, he would
be on ras all the time. Let's hope, Nascar doesn't change the rules...

Well, no, but you're not being patriotic.  You're being xenophobic and ***ing
ignorant.  But I doubt you could tell the difference.

You prefer racist epithets, right.  We realized that already.

Right.  You're racist world view doesn't allow respect for those that aren't
like you.

Yup, other racists--and you seem to willingly put yourself into this
camp--really don't have any problems with a racist epithet like "Jap."  Hell,
you're probably pretty pissed that people get mad when you say "***."  I
mean, that's the proper word for you and other "like-minded individuals."

Hmmm.  Well, it's pretty true that those that toss around the term "PC" are
using it to support their racism, but John here is refreshingly honest in just
how amazingly racist he is.

Interesting how quickly some people misuse "xenophobic" in such a simple
situation.  Let me first make a few things clear: (a) I could give two shits
about NASCAR and US-only cars; (b) I could care less if John's post was
removed since he has no right to free speech on a privately owned forum.
My complaint rests squarely on guys like you who take this issue out of
context so they can use big words like "xenophobic".

John's point, whether you agree or not, is EXTREMELY simple to grasp.  He
sees NASCAR as an American institution.  I personally find that silly but
he's entitled to his belief and I'm not going to debate the merits.  His
complaint is that allowing foreign cars breaks from TRADITION which he
reveres.  Again, silly to me but a REASONABLE belief nonetheless and one to
which he is entitled to passionately support.  More importantly, it is a
belief that seems honestly fueled by patriotism and respect for tradition.
He's not worried about: "The Jap-o-nese are comin' in here and takin' jobs
from good ole God fearin' Americans".

Any claim that John is xenophobic is truly ignorant.  It's a wonderful
technique used by the media to spin a bigger story out of a much smaller
issue; something that should be frowned upon in ng's. ;0)

And you seem to be refreshingly honest in your attempt to paint him as a
complete racist beyond anything he actually stated. Yes, his remarks could
have been taken as racist by some people. I don't agree with his argument at
all but will not stoop to the level of "race-baiter" to try and squash his
argument.

People who stand up and scream "racist" the loudest are usually people that
can't come up with a legit counter point and just take the easiest line. Use
your brain for a change and contradict him on a more mature level instead of
groveling in the sewer with the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

I think he's being xenophobic! BTW, xenophobic isn't a very big word by
my standards anyway. The fact you think it's big speaks volumes about
you.

So you missed my simple point, how sad for you.  I'm also sorry you live
under the mistaken impression that I care what you think about me.

Oh, and save the "I'm smarter than you" bullshit; it speaks volumes about
your insecurity and lack of self-worth.  Ah, what the hell: "Yes Gerry,
you're much smarter than I!"

<that should fuel your starved ego for weeks>
