F1 2000 video problem

by Kevin Marshal » Thu, 04 May 2000 04:00:00

I seem to be having trouble running F1 2000 with my Diamond Monster 3D
II card... whenever I start the game, the screen appears large and I
can't see the bottom or right-hand sides of the screen.  The EA tech
support suggests updating video drivers and starting the game in a
different resolution, both of which I did, and neither of which helped!
As of now I can only run the game with software acceleration.  Has
anyone had any experience with this problem?  Thanks for any help,

Kevin Marshall

F1 2000 video problem

Hi Kev.

I had this problem, couldn't work it out at first :( so went to
start\programs\f1200 and run the program F1 2000-3d setup, and I was still
puzzled it had my primary video card diamond (nvidia 4mb none 3d card)
called direct3d primary and it also had listed,  my direct 3d secondary
voodoo2 3d accelerator which naturally is the one I had selected under the
tab select video driver. Still puzzled by this and still under stress from
my son saying dad have you got it going yet :) i decided to switch from my
voodoo2 3dfx card and run the drict 3d primary and voila, one happy son :)
it worked. I guess that the setup didn't detect my cards correctly but not
sure, hope this helps you.

Rgds Phil.
