Well that was a thoroughly shitty race a total waste of time.

Is there some reason why our group has been horrible at the SS races over
these two seasons? I have better SS races in pickup races at Sierra.

We should re-run that Talladega race until we get it right.

F**king waste of a Saturday.

Well, the wreck on lap 31 was my fault.  My hands were a little
sweaty, and the steering wheel just slipped, and I ended up wall
glued, and when the wall let go, I had no control.

Sorry to everyone behind me... :(

I'd like to get better at Superspeedway races, but I also like variety. I
did make an important realisation earlier today, which I will post about
once I've thought it through and tested some more.

Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes.

I got caught up in "the big one" too. Dodged the wreck in the outside line,
then dodged the wreck in the inside line. Finally, when dodging a car coming
down off T2 I lost it and spun down towards the inside wall. Managed to stay
out of it, but was collected by Richard Busch in the infield. Engine damage.

Saw Richard's apology, but was too slow to respond. No problem, just one of
those things Richard, don't worry about it.

Fist off...congratulations to Larry ! Great win and to Kyle for 2nd. Larry
stayed on my butt, and Kyle on his for the last 35 laps or more. Larry never
touched me once and he had many opportunities to. I feakin blew it going into
turn 3 on the last lap giving Larry and Kyle the opening they were lookin for.
Hell I crowded Larry so much anyway that I crashed but thankfully didn't take
both of em out. Coulda, shoulda woulda dammit

I hate that wall glue. It bit me on the second caution. I went high to
let someone by and just touched it. I knew I was stuck and rode it
until it let go. I hates it when it lets go sudden like and you have
no control for about a second, and dart to the left. Sorry about that
one. I think I nicked number 15 when I came off the wall.
And a sorry to Jan. I went low to avoid the "big one" (I think it was
JS stuck to the wall), I spun into the inside wall and slid into you.
I didn't mean it buddy.

It is "OK" to lift when you see trouble up ahead, but I don't think
that many people do it. I got taken out from behind, while I had
backed off because of trouble up ahead. After reviewing the replay
from everyone's car (hindsight is 20-20), Kyle Roberts should have
slowed instead of swerving to avoid John Simmons and the whole
incident would have been avoided. Instead, Ian and I got put into the
wall. It was just a "racing deal", but it sucks to be taken out after
just a few laps because someone wants to try to win the race with 75
laps to go. Oh, and Larry, how the hell did you not have damage. I
rode the replay in your car, and I swear you made contact with
someone....I mean real hard contact. Oh well. I'm sure Martinsville
will be real pleasant.

I got caught up in both the big one's.  Went round and round many times,
blew tires, and came awfully close to hitting about 100 different things but
it was just my lucky day.  I escaped both without damage.

It was one of those "Days of Thunder" experiences in both of the big one's
:)  I came so close to hitting so many things, spinning round and round, but
somehow just managed to get by!

I wasn't sure exactly why he dropped down the track, I thought he was going
for a new "alternative" racing line ;) so I kept my foot planted. Imagine my
shock when he came back up the track and *I* was already there ! Never mind,
OOTRDs :)

Anyway in that incident I made what I'd class as light contact with the
wall, didn't seem to take long to fix in the pits anyway. So why the hell am
I 10MPH slower ? I just couldn't keep up with the rest of the field on the
restart, so I decided to just park it up and go do some GPL ;) Papy really
needs to sort out the damage in this one.

I almost had it missed - got through a bunch of cars.  Ended up having Mitch
spin down in front of me.  It might have only been slight contact, but Joon
plowed into both of us, sending me into Mitch, and Mitch barrel-rolling down
the track.  Joon, why did you feel the need to drive through the wreck at
almost full speed?!?
