It works Brian.  It definitely works.  The car dipping down like that is a result of minor warps.  It doesn't always do that.  But
your right, you need stable connections.

 Works fine for me. You need to be perfectly square on the bumper of the car
you are bumping and 99% of the time you will be ok. You don't need to get a
run and bump, just ease up off the corner and tap the car. Do not bump in
the corner or entering a corner.

Well, I guess I'll have to take your word for then.  Too be fair I
haven't done it in N2003, only N2002 so maybe they have improved it
over N2002.  I've just never really seen any great benefit to it in
the game.  99% of any restrictor plate race is just making it to the
end.
