Jason,
They are both good in there on way. NHRA for the "Pro" classes and
Burnout for the "Sportsman" classes. The NHRA does have a bug in the
pedals and a patch is on the way for it. It is still a GREAT
sim!!!!!!!!!!
If I had to pick one it would be NHRA,as it gets my vote for the BEST
sim out there.
1. Sense of speed at 300mph FEELS like 300mph
2. Rail and TF Funny are true to the real thing down the track
(although the crash and damage models are a bit goofy)
3. For intensity and pure adrenaline rush driving, the sound and
textures (even low res) flat out rock.
4. Not as many engine mods as Burnout, nor is there Multiplayer...yet.
But then again, if RT's hover around .420 secs, lag would get you beat
anyway.
5. Dirt cheap ($24.95 in a "Special Bin" at EB) and a patch is
...supposedly on the way...
Just get the game. I was like you and wondered. I saw bad reviews and some
good reviews but try it for yourself. It has become an ***ion for me.
And it's the ONLY game that let's you take on Force, Amato and that chunky
lil Christen Powell!!!
Have fun...

For sound ..speed... and racing TF or FC get NHRA DR
For technical tinkering of motors, suspensions, different classes and other
things associated with bracket and/or non-pro-type racing get Burnout..
OR
Get BOTH ! ! ! ! ! They are so different but so FUN !
