the one's doing the actual coding being pressured by the investors/management
causing the sheer greed in the first place still results in the same bottom
line. a crappy game that will be in the bargain bin at your local software
store in a month and a half.
i guess this is one way to look at it. do you own stock in one of these
publishing companies or something?
maybe in a perfect world this type of positive psychology would work. welcome
to planet earth ...
i think maybe you have the explanation of your viewpoint a little mixed up.
it's nice to see a positive voice such as yours every once in awhile. but this
time, i have to say 'negative'. your outlook on the sodtware industry as it
currently stands is the _epitomy_ of blind hope and optimism. as for myself,
i'm so sick of dropping my _hard_ earned $50 on buggy, incomplete,
ill-conceived, rushed, and half baked software that i could almost find the
urge to fly out to cali and go postal in the offices of such companies as
Jane's, Tantrum, and Sierra's non-papyrus titles.
however, with more companies producing software now, hopefully the 'survival of
the fittest' theory will come into play. companies that put out crappy/buggy
games deserve to fold. no remorse. just don't buy their garbage, let others
know why you didn't, and substantiate your claims.
