I do not own any of the Indycar (CART) games from Papyrus.  Is it worth
it to pick up the re-release of CART???  I am a N2 fan.. its MY game ;)
I love it. However, I like a change from time to time.  Just want to
know if you think its still worth picking up at $29.99 I think?? (and
free manual I guess).  I may just wait for the verdict after the patch
for CPR comes out.

All opinions welcome.

Scott,

A lot of folks, me included, think IndyCar Racing 2, now called CART,
is better than N2, particularly in regard to the setup and handling of
the cars. ICR 2 cars handle very smoothly and realistically.

CART is superior to CPR, too. I've never heard of ICR2 (CART) not
working on any computer to which it has been installed. Unfortunately,
I can't say the same for CPR, which is the only racing sim that won't
run on my K6-200/32 meg RAM/Matrox Mystique machine. And I'm not alone
on that count.

Yes, CART is worth $29.99.

I Have both Nascar2 and Icr2, I spend a lot of time with N2., so it's nice
to take a breather every now and then and run some road courses in Icr2,
even better if you have a rendition card, it looks great. Well worth the
29.99 if you don't have it.

CART (ICR2) runs great, even on lesser funded machines.
It looks o.k. in SVGA, and great in Rendition mode (or so I'm told).
There is a lot of 3rd party non-commercial support and enhancements.
I'd buy it, but I already have it. :)
If you can get a kick out of open wheel sims, buy it!

Scott,

For about the last year or so I have only been playing Nascar 2. About three
weeks ago I *finally* got my Rendition-board, and of course I wanted to use
it. Nascar 2 is great, but CART was the other obvious choice for me. As far
as I know it's not sold in my country, so I ordered it from Sierra's website
and a week later I got it. Haven't played much Nascar since then, and that's
an understatement I guess. CART is truly great, the strategy guide is nice
(I don't agree with some of the writer's opinions, but we're living in a
free world and there's a lot of useful info in the book too).
CART is the cheapest game I ever bought (I think), but together with Nascar
2 the best, IMHO.

I sure think so... the extra manual ("Winning") has a lot
of good tips in it for all sim racing...

Also, there's a $10 rebate with it... and it's *definitely*
worth $20...
