CPR vs. GP2

I was wondering which is better, between these two. Which is more realistic,
has decent framerates on a P166 mhz with 2 meg video card, etc. Also, which has
the best track editor?
Thanks,

Regarding framerates, this from the All Games Network:

"What about C.A.R.T. Precision racing? Well, if you have the PC power,
or any 3D card it will keep you at an acceptable frame rate, otherwise
you might want to skip it."

I don't think a P166 with 2 meg video is going to cut it.  Unless, of
course, you're comfortable with turning all the video options off.
I've got a PII 266 Mystique/Orchid, and my framerate is 25-30 fps with
all options turned on.  The box says that a p166 is recommended-- I
think that even this is pushing it.  You decide.

There are no track editors available for GP2.

Hi Corey,

... is more realistic ... <<

As far as giving you the feel of being in control of a modern open wheeler
racing car, and with reasonable computer competition, Gp2 would be the one.

... has decent framerates on a P166 mhz with 2 meg video card ... <<

Again Gp2 is the one here. Mind you will need to turn off some of the
graphics options to get the high ***s or mid 20s. Gp2 is not accelerator
enhanced in anyway any its speed is closely tied to you CPU.

At this point neither have a track editor. Some people have hacked Gp2s'
code and have released a track pack that contains the '97 tracks. They did
mention that they may attempt a track editor at some point but I wouldn't
hold my breath for it. CPR's people have said that they will defiantly
release a track editor in time. I'd have to guess that you'll see a CPR
track editor before you see one for Gp2 but who knows. Sometimes the
hackers put the professionals to shame.
