T2/Joystick Problem

Maybe somebody else has had this problem before...

Two nights ago, I was in a race on Hawaii.  I was running in 4th gear,
when suddenly (and no, I didn't touch it) the car shifted to 3rd.  Of
course that caused an accident and my car was damaged.  I went in and
repaired the damage and continued in the race, for no other reason but
to see if it would happen again.  It did.  Now I've noticed that when
I run N2, every time I change gears the car turns hard to the right.
That's upshift or downshift.  What the hell is going on??
I thought it may be a problem with the T2, but I plugged in my CH
Flightstick tonight and tried Mech Warrior 2.  Every time I hit the
fire button, the sight moves up.  I went into the joystick calibration
program in Windows control panel and when it asks to center the
joystick and then press a fire button, I notice that the cursor moves
down.  When I release the fire button, it goes back to the original
position.  Any ideas?

Sounds like you may need to recalibrate the joystick in Windows95.... Goto
MY COMPUTER...... then CONTROL PANEL....... then select joystick and
recalibrate

If that's the case, I would take some TV Tuner Cleaner (get it at
Radio Shack) and spray the potentiometers in side the steering and
wheel device to get rid of any dust particles!
