Just changed sound card from an onboard creative to a pci soundblaster 16 to
see if maybe it would help with the engine "static". Seems like I MAY have
made it better, but now the sound cuts in and out on the intro movie!! No
biggie, but I am curious if anybody else had that happen. So far that is the
only sound that has cut in and out.

Will be interesting to see if anyone hasn't disabled the movie the first
time running the sim :-)

Yeah, if it was anything other than the intro, might be a nuisance. As it
stands, it's just a curiosity.

Disabled the intro movie?  You mean the one that you can *stop* by hitting the
space bar?  I *usually* watch the intro the first time I run a particular
program.  After that, I bypass it...

Yep.  First time in I disable it.  Go to Options->Graphics & there's a
checkbox for intro/exit sequences.  Much easier, & less ***to have to
wait on to load. :-)

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the
citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a
double-edged sword. It both emboldens the ***, just as it narrows the
mind.  And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the
*** boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no
need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry,
infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their
rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I
have done. And I am Caesar."   -- Julius Caesar

I find that the relaxing music and snowy mountain scenery really get
me in the mood for racing ;)

I was disappointed they didn't make any reference to DE in the intro.

There's a short tribute to him in the outro.
