rec.autos.simulators

   I'm re-installing Win2K, IBM hard drives have been
disappointing me.  

   I've been using the final official 3DFX driver, 1.08,
but I've noticed some not quite right artifacts in the
F1 Challenge menus.  So I'm wondering if anybody has
any experience with the third party drivers.  

   A recent post in the flight sim newsgroup pointed me
to www.falconfly.de/vsa100.htm where 13 voodoo 4/5
drivers are listed.  

   It seems to come down to 3dHQ V1.09.00 Beta10 or
AmigaMerlin V3.0.  Or stick with the final, two year
old, 3dfx V1.08.04b.  Which has proven adequate on my
aging dual 600 MHz P3.  Or, perhaps a driver I haven't
heard about.

I went through a few trying to get one that worked well in GLide /and/ D3D.
The only one I managed to get working well was the Amigamerlin 2.5.
