Nascar bug with Joystick 2 Y axis

I just got the new NASCAR CD and  when setting the controls, the
game won't accept the Gas Pedal on my T1 as the accelerator control.
It does see the Joystick 2 Y axis when calibrating and it will accept
the brake pedal (J2 Y-axis ) as the braking control but it won't look
at the other direction of the J2 Y-axis control for acceleration.

Has anybody experienced this yet?

On the demo version I found that if you push the joystick one way to set
braking and the other way to set accelerator then it works.

Yeah, I had the same problem last night with mine - come to think of it I
had the same problem with the demo.  I got around it by copying the
control.cfg file (or whatever the name is) to the NASCAR directory -
worked fine.  BTW, I am using an autocockpit - glad to know the problem
is not with my unit.

The problem with the T1 and NASCAR is that you are using a block of wood
or something behind the pedals - so they won't go down all the way. To set
controls, you need to remove this so the pedal will go down all the way
(just to set controls, you can then put it back to play the game).

Papyrus knows about this bug and I assume will fix it in the future.

I've got the T1 with the blocks of wood and no problem.  My piece of
wood is maybe 3/8 inch thick, I still got a good bit of travel, maybe
that's the differance.
