Well, the clamps and the suction cups work well for me, but I do have an
old-type multi-outlet switch box (the kind you set your monitor on) that
has a tapered front panel that does a great job of holding my T2 down
when placed over the back edge of the T2.

ANYONE WITH A T2 WHEEL

The best thing that has worked for me so far is to mount the wheel on a
small piece of particle board. I still use the clamps to clinch the
wheel to the desk but the extra weight of the board seems to keep the
wheel pretty still. I can get a little over aggressive with the wheel
sometimes and it usually stay put.

For the peddles, I ran a few short screws out of the bottom so that
about 1/4 inch sticks out, it holds on the carpet quite a bit better.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Dave

Here's what worked for me.  I mounted a piece of 5" wide by 3/4" thick hardwood
to the flat underside of the steering unit so that it extends out the sides by
about 6" on each side.  I attached it by removing the cover and installing
screws throught the bottom of the steering unit into the board.  I can then use
C-clamps to hold the unit down by clamping the newly installed board to my desk.

Try velcro.

Place an old mousemat under your desk before tightening it....

Keeps mine in place ok?

Hi,
I find the clamps on my t2 secure it to my desk pretty well. (it
isn't very thick, so I think that is the reason it clamps pretty well)
I've always sort of wanted to make a sliding tray on my desk that could
maybe clip into place or something while I was using the wheel.  That way
when I wasn't using the wheel I could just slide it off to the side.  As
for the pedals, I used to have problems with them sliding on the floor.
A piece of indoor/outdoor or "door mat" carpet soon stopped that!
Despite some problems with springs in the pedals/the wheel pot problem i
just had, I really like my T2.  It makes racing sims that much more
enjoyable.  It is defently more fun than when I used to use the keyboard!
(especially on short tracks!)

I use a rather low-tech method: I place a book under the desk and
clamp the wheel to the book.  This is helpful especially if the clamps
don't reach far enough for your desk.  Before you tighten the clamps,
press down on the base to make sure the suction cups are solidly (as
possible) "sucked" to the desk.  I occasionally have to reach under
and tighten the clamps while racing, but I can do this without
distracting myself from the race.

As for the pedals, the biggest problem for me has been the *** feet
coming off.   When one of those comes off, you can forget about the
pedal base staying in place.   I finally found that superglue works
fairly well on the *** feet.

I took an old piece of plywood and cut up an old truck tire tub (bike
tube will work also) and stapled it to the plywood, using a staple gun.
I then ground off any part of the staple that went through the plywood.
This keeps it from moving around.
