Anyone taken apart T2 pedals?

Anyone taken apart T2 pedals?

by Craig McGlon » Thu, 06 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I'm planning on taking my T2 pedals apart. I found that I can plug my
Flight Control stick into the pedals and use them as rudder pedals for a
helicoptor flight sim. I want to reverse the pedals (the helicoptor sim
won't let me set up the rudder direction for the pedals and they are
reversed by default and NASCAR2 will let me choose which pedal is gas and
which is brake) In addition it looks like I can move the pedal in the
center slot to the slot on the left making it more like rudder pedals (I'm
a two footed driver in NASCAR any way, it won't make a difference in
racin') Has anyone tried takin' them apart? Will my plan work, and will it
be reasonably easy?

thanks in advance,
Craig

Sure it will work, and it's reasonably easy to do (assuming your
comfortable with a soldering iron).  The wires probably aren't long
enough to relocate the pedal, so you'll need to extend them.

You will also need to drill (if I'm not mistaken... I could be wrong)
two additional holes for a bracket that braces the pedals.  Like Eric
said, it's not that bad at all.  I didn't do this with my T2 pedals
because I'm using my T1 pedals (with a T2 wheel) and it's easier to do
this way.
