Has anyone come up with any new tracks or different versions of existing
tracks yet?

Next, has anyone figured out how to change the number of laps in a given
event from what papy thinks we should have?  For instance, their "long"
race at Nurburgring is 5 laps, but the GP length is 20 laps.  I'd like to
increase the race lengths to my ovn values.

(I won't bring up the damage model selection concept...)

This is quite easy and even work for online-racing. :-)

Just open the "67season.ini" file in your "../gpl/seasons" folder and edit
the number of laps for each track.
The various realims/damage levles use different precentages of the total
number of laps or the GP distance.

If i remember right they are:
8% of GP distance for "novice races"
15% of GP distance for "int./pro *short*" races.
30% of GP distance for "int./pro *long*" races.

Like I said these race-lengths can be used in multiplayer races aswell...
and the good thing is that *ONLY* the host need a modified "67season.ini"
file.

In the IGPLC  we've been using mod. race-lengths since November and that has
worked great!
Check out http://home.c2i.net/thepaddock/IGPLC if you need more examples of
what i mean.. :)

Nigel Patison has come up with a program that will change that. It can be
found here:
http://start.at/KOTR

It is listed under the files section.

I'm already following that development.  I hope someone figures out a way
to convert the N2 road courses (including the fantasy tracks) to GPL.  Or
how about 20 Grand prix cars at Martinsville? It would be pretty cool.
