Old Sims and New Machines

Are any of the older sims like GP2, NASCAR Legends, and Sports Car GT
having trouble on newer computers?  The GPL patch made sure that
classic will endure, but are any others in danger of going by the
wayside?  I have a friend with a PIII733 and it seems like something
old like XCar would not work properly [no sound I think].  If you were
getting a 1+Ghz, would you keep an older PII266 or whatever, so that
the older stuff would still run?  Just curious-  The newer product is
great but it would be a shame to have to leave the older stuff behind
with all the add-ons and carsets, etc.
