Grand Prix Manager questions

Can anyone answer the following questions for me on GP Manager?

1. I read in an earlier post (by Stuart Booth, I think) that the game
requires you to set your monitor to 256 colors before it will run.  This
sounds like a substantial flaw to me, but I haven't seen any concurring
posts on it.  Can someone verify this?

2. Does the game allow you to create your own fictional team or to modify
the existing teams/drivers/suppliers to correctly emulate 1996 and
beyond, with the demise of Pacific and Simtek and the addition of DAMS
and Stewart Grand Prix?

3. Is the game entirely a stand-alone product from F1GP2/World Circuit
II, or is there any options where performance results in the latter can
influence stats in the former?

4. Is this a CD-ROM or disk program?  How many mb of hard drive space is
required for installation?

Thanks,
Earl

I'd like to know if anybody else has this problem also. Or is it just
the version of my ATI Mach64 drivers I wonder? Definitely a problem
with v1.45 (Win3.1x) and v2.01 (Win95) and I haven't tried it under
v2.08 (Win95) because it GPFs in DIBENG.DLL.

CD-ROM. Takes about 36Mb of HD space and runs with the CD in the
drive.

Stuart.

Grand Prix Manager does require 256 mode running in Windows which is a
pain in the arse seeing as you have to reset it every time from 64K.
Hopefully we'll get an update soon!!

If you're using Windows95, you should set your Web browser to:

http://windows95.com

Have a look for the Windows95 Power Toys.  Among them you'll QuickRes, which
puts a tool on your taskbar that lets you change resolutions and colors on the
fly based on what your video card is capable of...very handy!
