After doing a few more races at Spa then watching the replays I see now
what made me think it was a slow down in fps/speed sense
going down the long hill. It seems that it is quite realistically depicting
the distance that the car is from the forest :-0 Watching the TV view
replays going down that hill its just that the trees are so far that gave
it the sense of going slower. BTW I cant believe how long this thing
records. Its quite cool to watch so much in replay most sims only give a
little of the most recent. Also these AI are pretty damn good too! I am
running in Pro setting no helps on and its all I can do to maintain a mid
pack spot. Even with what seems to be a very good set up I cant run away at
all on the straights ( Im in the McLaren ) all I can do is try to make it
up in the turns and try to out brake them. All in all pretty damn good
stuff.

Hi Mike,

IMO it seems to me that the courses in F1RS are more realistic than
those in GP2, at least after watching TV and playing both sims. The only
thing that I dont like about F1RS is the sense of speed or lack thereof,
IMO it seems as though in GP2 this is far better.

In F1RS I find I have to watch the speedometer to get through the turns
where in GP2 I can much more easily feel the speed I need to be doing, I
havent a clue why this is so though.

I often find myself wishing I could take the two sims apart and combine,
then I'd have exactly what I want, I like both really well but neither
is exactly what I want :).

I think the game records the last five minutes of action, whenever
replay is selected?

Ahh, Peter, that's good to see.  I know in the past we haven't seen
eye-to-eye on the merits of GP2, but it's good to know that you enjoy a
good sim no matter which god creates it. ;-)

BTW:  I still enjoy taking a spin once 'n awhile in GP2, it's fun and
enjoyable.
