Would be nice if they included some quality pedals.

What's wrong with the pedals?

Ok, here's a pic. I'm looking at them. What's wrong with them?

New Ferrari Wheel In October

There's nothing wrong with the pedals. They're as good as any that are
included with the popular FF wheels. The gas spring is a little stiff on the
current TM Ferrari, but that can be fixed and any sim racer is hopefully
bracing the pedals and elevating the front to get a comfortable angle.

I can't remember the name of the company that's making this wheel. Maybe I
could spend a few hours to look it up, but they also market it under their
own name as well as AVB, Guest (in the UK), TM and several others. Most of
this new wheel looks like the previous TM Ferrari. Same case but without the
shifter (TM was the only one with this this option anyway). Pedals look
almost the same. I assume (and hope) the electronics are the same because it
is a very nice, precision wheel. So, if they've taken the current TM Ferrari
and added ball bearings and steel shafts, that's even better. Then it looks
like they've changed the shifting paddles from plastic to metal. This was
the weak point on the current wheel.  Personally, I prefer a GT style wheel,
but F1 style one they put on does look good and this new setup from TM could
be really something.  Unless they've done something to really***this up,
I can see this being the wheel of choice for most sim racers, except Larry,
who loves his MSFF ;)

David,

Does this look like a pair of ECCI pedals to you?  Or TSWs?  Or BRDs?  Or
even ACT Labs?  To me they look like a typical pair of TM pedals: too close
together, too short a crank arm, too small a base, probably too soft a
spring, and probably made out of thin, highly frangible plastic.  Next....

I have a TM Ferrari, and I love it (awesome force feedback). My only
complaint is the gas pedal being a bit too stiff for my taste. You said this
could be fixed, any suggestions on how I'd do this?

Thanks!

I always get worried when they don't show the pedals :(

I'll have to see them in person.   From the picture, they _may_ be a bit to
much "Tractor" style, like the MoMo's.

Personally, I think the MSFFW has the best consumer grade pedals on the
market.

The MSFFW sure can be improved upon.

The only problem is no one has done it yet.

I agree the Momo wheel is a better part (at leaset when it's new), but MS
still owns the crown when it comes to the pedals.

They'll probably***that up in the next round :)

Found em'.

I'll have to see in person.  Not impressed at first sight, though.  They
look 'Tractorish" like the Momo pedals.

I had a feeling you were somehow comparing this wheel to wheels which cost
sooooo much more. When those other wheels have ff and cost the same as the
Ferrari, let me know.

Btw, the pedals are made out of aluminum, not plastic.

I think only the pedal covers/pads are aluminium, the arms appear to be
plastic.
