Intially tried loading it via that Win95 autoplay feature. I got to the
loading setup screen then kept getting a GPF. Still do.... so loaded it
manually which went fine. Had a problem with my T1 pedals being
recongnized but after a little tinkering determaned that there must be
some sort of polling or calibration taking place during the smack, cause
if I let that play longer than a normal boot and <esc> The pedals work
fine. Can't explain it but it works..... so far <g>
I have notice a couple of weird things though. If you request a tow on
the front straight you still get pulled through the pit wall, but unlike
multi no damage. Soft concrete from that new wall at Dega??
Next: I intentionally DQ'd myself at a race at Dega just to see what
would happen. After 5 laps of ignoring the black flag the spotter told me
that I had been DQ'd. However when I entered my pit stall the green flag
waves like the stop 'n go had been fullfilled.
I also noticed so wierd AI movement at Atlanta. During a caution a line
of AI would head to pit lane, but suddenly veer back into line up. This
would happen on every lap of that caution and when the green finally
waved, that whole group would clog the inside line trying to head to pit
lane again. Pit or not to pit that is the question.
Finally, the white crossed flags at the 1/2 way point? I hear about
them, but never see them like the manual states. Overall I think the AI do
a much better job at racing each other and the human driver than in NCR1
and the little extras like dumping a repair are excellent.
Thanks for what appears to be more endless hours of entertainment
Oh one last thing..... nothing in the manual about provisionals... how
many in a season???
