ICR2: Long Beach setups

Okay, I'm trying to create a good racing setup for Long Beach.  I have a
question regarding wing settings.  It's my understanding that wings
don't even begin to come into play until speeds greater than 50 mph.  It
seems that most of the turns at LB are in the 45-60 range.  Now most of
the hotlap setups I've seen for LB have tons more wing than the Ace
setups that come with ICR2.  Is the theory that extra wings will allow
higher speeds in the slow corners?  But, on the other hand the pit
window for LB is 38-40 laps.  Even with low drag, if I'm racing hard I
don't think I would ever make 40 laps.  Anyone got any good tips for
race setups at Long Beach?

GREAT CARSET!!!

Yeah, most of the setups out there are at 13.4 front and 11.4 back.  u
lose some on the straights, but you can brake later and hustle the car
faster through the turns.  I used to run in the 55 sec range with the Ace
setup but now I can do 52.0 .

I think the wings help most with the series of corners from T4 that lead
out to the back straight. Also, you have to have enough rear wing to take
that long sweeper on the front straightaway flat out, otherwise the
slightest twitch will put you into the wall.

The last time I ran a series race at LB, I stretched my fuel by running a
taller 6th gear and short shifting.
