NR2002 freezing in multiplayer mode....

This just started about a month ago.  I've tried everything I can
think of.  While racing online, my Control-C window bars will turn
red, and everything freezes up for a few seconds.  Then it will come
back on and I will be a few seconds behind of whereever I was on the
track before the freeze.  Just a bit aggravating, to say the least.  

Everything was working great until I installed the OLR Redirector.
Would that installation change something in my system?
