Not sure how many saw this in Sunday's paper.

But GP1's selling for $45 with a $45 mail in rebate. Now if you get the
rebate without going to court is another matter. Tax and 32 cent stamp is
all you pay.

Now to Don Wilshe this has to throw a monkey in the TM vs TSW price
figuring. :)

They still had twenty left at the Akron, OH Local. I picked up a backup unit
today.

It's sorta screwy why they are giving these things away they are far from
worthless.

>I picked up a backup unit today.

I was thinking about getting one to backup my T2, also.

Question: Does anyone know if you can use the T2 pedals
with the GP1 wheel?

(Follow up question for you smart a$$es out there: So, then,
will the T2 pedals work with the GP1 wheel?)

- Mike.

PS - As with ALL CompUSA rebate offers, make a copy of
the rebate form, and make sure the phone number to call
is legible. Write down the date that you mailed it in. When
you do not (trust me, you won't) receive the rebate in the
allotted time (usually 6 to 8 weeks), CALL THE NUMBER!

They will invariably tell you that there was some kind of delay,
but your check did get mailed out "yesterday" or "earlier this
week". It happens every time. I often wonder how many people
forget about it and never get the check...

Shouldn't be a problem but don't hold me to that if you go and buy a GP1
and it doesn't work on your system.. Just ensure you don't move the Paddles
during the calibration steps.

It could be competition driven, look at all the units in this price and
quality range that have come on the market in the past few months, it
may be an attempt to force others out possibly?

Or, possibly the "GP2" wheel is coming out soon (or even a
force feedback wheel?) and they are trying to liquidate their
stock and at the same time, get some new customers (who
eventually will want to upgrade.....)

yes they do work but i now prefer to use the paddles.  it's much more
comfortable and you can basically be laying down and still be able to
race.  hehe.
I'm always laying down while i race on NROS. I'm sure my fellow racers
can attest to that   lol

go to get it bud, it's agreat wheel without the rebate.
