F1 2000 and MSFF

F1 2000 and MSFF

I bought F1 2000 last friday, and I must say that apart from the framerate
issue it is a blast.

My problem however is to get my MSFF going. I have full FF-force on and
centering force off. My problem is that the wheel has very litte feedback
when i'm on the race surface, and I only feel the kerbs.

My questions are:
- Is the FF so bad implemented that there are no forces from the front wheels ?
- Is it powersteering, since the wheel are very light at standstill too ?
- What to do to get a less light wheel ? (obviously :)

Thanks for any input regarding this matter.

I am having the exact same problem with my Guillemot wheel... in f12k the
wheel is extremly light to operate. The feel can be adjusted with the speed
sensitivity slider in the controller setup within f12k, however, this makes
the wheel extremly sensitive.

FF is extreem poorly implemented in F12k. After racing f12k for a few days I
decided to fire up GPL once again... damn, My arms where exhausted after 10
laps of using arm, legs and everything else to keep the Lotus on the track
:))

'*** ups')

GPL is the best implementation of FF, but F12K FF still adds something good
to the experience.

Like a slight rattle on kerbs and a faint nudge when you hit the wall at
300 kph?

Excuse me, have I missed something?

No, I am serious. I haven't noticed any other effects. Other than the
centering of the FF wheel of course, which is not a game effect.

So isn't my wheel working properly?

Yes GPL has great, very great MS FF effects, not so good with ACT LABS but
MS FF is great.
F12000 has kerbs effects only, no sliding effects like GPL has.

Ah, so you mean I have missed something for not driving GPL with FF! :-)

Allright. Probably I have. But I was talking about F1 2000 effects (or
lack of them), and thought that "yes you have missed something" referred
to F1 2000 as well.

Amusing mistake.

Hehe, I started this thread to find out if the FF in F1 2000 was anything more
than kerb-shaking, but it is obviously not. A shame.

For some weird reason GPL had to find its way into this thread too. I kind
of didn't ask for something I already know ;)

Can you pass along your force feedback configuration for GPL for the MS
Wheel.  I can find configs for other brands, but none for MSFF.

Thanks.
