CART: HELP!

Remember the Rendition version is not a win95 program.  you probaby can
setup a .pif file or configure your dos box settings to get icr2 to run but
I never have.  Your sound card doesn't work because it is a pnp (I'm
guessing,) and you need a utility that sets up the card for a dos session.
(for soundblasters it is a file called ctcm.exe )  good luck

Cartfast under win95 is, to me, akin to running ICR under win95. I've
tried many times and many ways to get cartfast to run under Win95. I
think DOS is the only way it is possible. I finally gave up. If you
absolutely have to run the game from Win 95, you're stuck with
cartrend. Just a question? Why can't you install DOS drivers for your
soundcard? Do you have one of those annoying machines where the
manufacturer tries to disable DOS (to make it a "32 bit" operating
systems) by not removing the MS dos prompt, and the ability to shut
down and restart in DOS? Several companies actually do that and will
void a persons warrantee if they install DOS drivers.

I know on some machines if you start win95 and then select restart in ms dos
mode, it still has the drivers loaded, depending on whether your system
completely reboots or not.  So your sound card should work.
