Now when i go into GP3 i can use the exact same setup options that i use in
GP2.....JoyA horiz steering, JoyA vert accelerator, JoyB horiz brake.
This works on my F1 Sim....
It should have been written in the manual or in the readme.txt....
Split axis works fine...

1/ Go to Control Panel/Game Controllers and remove all entries.
2/ Add a 2 axis, 4 button joystick, this is your wheel.
3/ Add a 2 axis, 2 button joystick, this is your pedals. Both entries
should show OK. Select the controller 2 properties and note which
axis, horizontal or vertical, is connected to which pedal.
You don't seem to need to calibrate the controllers in Windows as
GP3 does it's own calibration and it's difficult to calibrate the
pedals since you don't have a button to press. If you want calibrate
the pedals, go to www.stickworks.com and get the file joyregs.zip.
There is a utility in that zip called joyclick which will emulate a
button click on the second controller.
4/ Run GP3. Go to Options/Controls/Advanced.
5/ Select a slot in the users sets and control driven calibration
(this is important).
6/ Set controller type to wheel, steering device to Joystick A
Horizontal, acceleration device to whichever axis on Joystick B had
your accelerator, on my CH pedals the accelerator was the vertical
axis, and brake device to the other axis on Joystick B. Reduce low
sensitivity zone on brake and accelerator to a low value, 4 or 5%.
Set your gear change etc as needed.
7/ Select Calibrate Joystick and follow the instructions. When
instructed to press fire for the pedal calibration, a button on the
wheel will work.
8/ Save your control set.
You should now have split axis control.
I hope this helps people get the best out of GP3.

You guys certainly are keen.
