What exactlly is a D3D mode card.  Can I still use my V2 card with
this ?

Hi dafney,

D3D is short for Microsofts' Direct 3D API.  It is a way for program
developers to make their games work on all cards.

Your Voodoo2 card will work with D3D.  It will not be as fast as
native Glide or 3Dfx games, but it will kick ***:)

yes V2 , does, D3D, glide,  glide=3dfx(api)  , and does both very well,
