F12002 + XP + MS FF

Hello to everyone:

I have the next "dangeorus" coktel in my PC: Windows XP prof. edition, EA's
F1-2002 and Microsoft Force Feedback Wheel (gameport connector).

XP detects the wheel. I dont have sidewinder software for configuring the
wheel, because Microsoft will not make it for XP (M$!!!). And here is the
problem: I can configure manually the wheel in F1-2002, becuase it didnt
detect it as a joystick, and I can play, but I have no force feedback. I
configure FF in F1-2002 but I still dont have FF.

Please, could anyone with my same configuration give me same clues for
solbving this problems.

Thanks in advance,

Rafael H. Stark

Raf,

Weird, I have the same setup (clean install of XP Pro), just selected MS
Sidewinder from the game devices and all was fine. Had to revert back to
this wheel on discovering that my Thrustmaster Ferrari FF wheel was a no
go...

Aaron.

Try using the USB connection rather than the gameport.

I dont think the gameport version works in XP. The usb version works fine.

It does! I have XP Pro + the gameport Sidewinder FF wheel, all OK - Force
feedback even works in F12002 fine!

I didnt use the sidewinder software either - I think I just selected
'Microsoft Sidewinder(autodetect)' in the game devices control panel app.
