Anyone seen any in-car shots yet?  I'd love to see what the virtual***pits
are going to look like.

These are fairly old screenshots.  Notice the pixelation around the drivers
side window and side mirror.  Not to mention the trees in the background not
setting in properly <G>

Don't worry, this is NOT the case with WSC now ;)

That's because you won't see the difference on that 15" monitor of
yours, but some of has moved on beyond the Amiga  :-)))

If you don't mind.......the Amiga had a 14" monitor (Phillips, if I recall
correctly)!

(I have added an inch in ten years!!!)

HEY!!!!!!! Don't be dissin the Amiga. Them's fightin' words cowboy!
;-)

Every time someone mentions the Amiga, I get a little tear in the
corner of my eye. It was such an amazing machine in the 80s and early
90s and was light years ahead of anything that any Mac or IBM clone
could do. If only Commodore hadn't sucked...

You know something funny -- the Amiga used a different processor for
each type of task in the machine. One for graphics, one for sound,
etc. and they were all separate from the CPU. All these years later,
where is the PC world now? Using separate chips for each task --
graphics, sound, etc. Man, the Amiga was soooo incredible....

From what I have heard in the dark alleys, the West Brothers are still
collecting race driver heads.  And until they have a full collection and
can work out the right "average" size, they are loathe to put driver
heads in the cars until they are sure they have the right size.  They
have no intention of destroying a wonderful sim by not getting this one
thing perfect.

[btw: It's a joke son, I said it was a joke.]

A few days ago I read in some magazine that the Amiga-brand was about
to return! Built around an AMD Athlon and a GeForce card if I remember
right? Not sure anymore.. It was in "CiT" magazine.

WHOA!! Wait just a moment here. What exactly is wrong with an Amiga?
Heck, it took a Pentium 66 with lots of extra sound and video cards to
even come close to matching my '90 Amiga 2000! ;)

Euh

Doesn't it look just like a racing game?
Whats so ***ing awsome?
Le Mans 24Hrs looked just as good, and THAT was a mighty bad game (totally
worthless).
Are all you guys working on WSC or what?

Just another hype....

Will it be fun to play.... THATS what matters.
I think the graphics of TOCA2, SCGT, F12000 and so are already close to
perfect.
I would love to see a SIM thats accurate (not with shitty tracks like
F12000 - big shame on you EA), and feels good to play.

BTW: does anyone know why the track-graphics in GPL (the best sim) look not
half as good as TOCA 2 or SCGT or EA SUPERBIKE?
The only real flaw with GPL is that they got the perspective from the
drivers view all wrong. All the distances look twice as long as they are in
real life. The car-physics feel alright though...
But just go and drive on the real Nurburgring, Spa or Monaco to see what I
mean.
(yes I have driven on these tracks)
