John...
Not sure I ever said that? But, I am also sure some "dink" will find it
with a Google's newsgroup search engine.
That being said, "welcome to the sim racing community." There's people here
that don't like you, never will, never did.......from the first day they
read something you posted......they'll pick on you forever. There's others
that don't like what you say, sometimes.....and tell you. They will also
tell you when they like (or agree with) something you say......but will only
"sometimes" tell you. There are also many that won't tell you
anything......they are "read only" visitors.......but you'll see them on the
sim track with you, just the same. There's a few that will cheer you when
you "kick some butt." But, they'll be "cry babies" when its theirs being
kicked. There's also many who will accept you as a human being (mistakes
and all).....embrace you and be fair with you........and like you because
you are "trying" to make this sim racing community a better place.
Isn't this just about the way it is in real life?
John, I'm not trying to tell you that giving up your self-appointed duties
with the RASCAR races on Saturday is something you shouldn't do. That's
your decision and yours alone to make.......and "f_ck" everyone else. Easy
jobs are hard to do....when they are not fun! The opposite is true also,
IMHO. I would ask you to consider your decision in light of "what's the
right thing to do for your continued support of sim racing.....and this sim
racing community?" Its an old clich, but it seems appropriate at the
moment, "If you don't want to be tackled......stop running with the ball!"
Regardless of your decision......and although I've never run in a RASCAR
event.....I appreciate what you've done and the support and leadership role
you've take in this sim racing community lately. I don't like everything
you've done....and a I don't like everything you've said. So what. I like
most of what you say and do.....and I respect you for trying to make this a
better place to sim race.
Thank you.
See you around....I hope?
Regards,
Tom Pabst
