NASCAR Martinsville question

by 131A50000-KwonJY(DR33 » Thu, 09 May 1996 04:00:00

I was racing at Martinsville yesterday and I've noticed quite a few
times that some AI cars go right through each other - in fact in
one incident I was on the inside groove and an AI car on the
outside went out of its way to turn, phasing right through another
car and clipping me! Looking at some replays it almost seems that
AI cars in these instances don't really "see" each other - they
drive as if the car wasn't there... and no accidents occur (except
when the AI decides I'm not really there and decides to pancake me).

Is this a known bug, or did I do something to deserve this? I'm
using NASCAR v1.21. Does the newer multiplayer NASCAR fix this?

Hey I thought HAWAII drivers were bad enough (judging from comments
in this newsgroup), but at least they don't have "phase-cloaking"
technology.

Anyone offer any workarounds/fixes/advice?
