Serial support? If you're going to be *that* ***about your arcade games,
surely you can afford a machine that is capable of displaying NFS's SVGA graphics.

NAAA!!!! I don't think I'll take your advice. I LOVED the NFS demo
and the NFS game on 3DO. It rocks! Keep your complaints to yourself
until someone asks you for them.

That's odd, the copy I bought has SVGA (640x480x256) that looks just
fine.. wish my system (486DX2/66) was fast enough to run it in that
mode. As it is, I run in plain-jane 320x200x256, which, though a bit
blocky on my 20" monitor, looks pretty good and runs smooth as glass.
It also has multiplayer support via modem (which we finally got working,
I'll follow up to my previous post with the answer), though it tends to
do some odd things to the steering when you have a second player plus a
whole slew of other cars on the track. Running head to head on a closed
circuit against another player is very cool, though.
The Need for Speed is, IMHO, a fantastic arcade-style driving game. It is
NOT a simulator in the same sense as NASCAR or F1GP, but it's FUN, and
that's what I look for. YMMV.

Too bad you don't know how to read manuals/navigate a programs
interface. If you did, you could have figured out the graphics.
Perhaps you should stick with a first generation NES. It might be over
your head, but in a couple years you will be up to speed.
To compare it with a sim with the undeniable quality of NASCAR RACING
is unfair.
Personally I don't think there is a comparison !! But that is only my
opinion.

>Shut up Bill.
You're right, he is. You're right, he didn't. But then, he didn't insult
YOU, either, so aren't you just as guilty as what you're accusing Bill of?
He also spread disinformation about the game. This has been addressed by
other articles, including one of my own.
As I see it, Bill never told Jeff to shut up, he merely disagreed with
him. Granted, he did so in a rather abrasive and inflammatory manner, but
he never tried to tell him that he had no right to say what he did.
Yaknow, Chuck, the only person I see here trying to squelch anyone's
"freedom of speech" is you. You're the one telling someone to shut up and
that they're wrong for saying something.
Hm. Is the communist accusation severe enough to be an example of
Godwin's Law? Shame it had to come so soon...
And remember, Chuck, "I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend
to the death your right to say it".
Have a swell day.

Ohyeah, and my apologies for a flame on RAS... lemme see if I can come up
with an ObAutoSim... uh... what kinda times are people getting on the
various roads/tracks? Best I can hit on Rusty Springs, four laps, 512TR
is 2:47.8, top speed of 162.5...

Tip: If someone slams a game, and obviously has not read the
manual/explored the interface, he gets what he deserves.
And when someone like you tries to scold me for expressing myself, you
get what you deserve.
TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE
It will help avoid making you look stupid (In the future- the damage
is done this time)
Bill
OH NO !!! This is turning into constitutional emergency!!
And you my friend have violated his 12th amendment rights and my 15th
amendment (Sec.b para. 2) rights. Not to mention the 5th poster back,
who doesn't like Nascar. What about that, hey!
