Demo Derby sound help using Soundscape

by Primu » Mon, 15 Jan 1996 04:00:00

Help!  I just bought Demolition Derby (I know it's not a
realistic driving simulator, but I need help)  and I am
unable to get my Ensoniq soundscape to play the digital
sounds.  There seems to be an incompatibility with
Demo Derby and the ssinit file the initializes the card
in Dos Mode (I run Win95)  All of my other games work fine
(Nascar, Indy II, etc)  But the screen to set the digital
sound card crashes everytime I try and run it.  I also have
a 486 w/ a ProAudio Spectrum and I have no problem setting
it up with digital sound and music.  I know that DD supports
the soundscape directly, I've seen it when setting up my
ProAudio Spectrum.  Any help would be appreciated as I
would love to hear the cars smashing together and hear the
roar of the engines.  Thanks to one and all.
