I own a Gateway p75 with ensoniq souncard.
My problem is that the in game car sounds are awful - sounds like its
playing underwater.
I have had no problems with other soundblaster compatible games.
Can anyone help

I know isn't the card great. I had a gravis before this and ohh
god.....
I have a feeling we are stuck as i tried everything i could think of
