GP3 - not recognising my USB devices

Liked GP2 - GP3 just the same with better graphics - but that's OK

My point - a lot of the moans in this NG refer to Wheel setup problems - my
problem is more fundamental - I have 3 input devices:

    a)  MS Force Feedback Joystick - via my game port - FF works well
    b)  MS Game Pad Pro - via USB - not recognised (although works fine with
other games)
    c)  MS Racing Wheel - via USB (not the force feedback version) - not
recognised - worked just fine for Porsche Unleashed

All 3 devices recognised as working in my Sidewinder setup panel.
What is going wrong?  I had the same problem with Midtown Madness.

I really want to get into this game - but using a joystick just ain't
right - especially when I have a perfectly well functioning Wheel - any help
gratefully received (except advice along the lines of - 'get another non-MS
wheel!)

Make sure the wheel is controller ID#1. I have a USB extension cable
and just plug in the controller I want to use and leave the rest
unplugged so that it is alwasy ID#1.

As an alternative .

Reasign the device no's , under the advanced options within Game
Controllers to move the wheel to device no 1 .

GP3 - not recognising my USB devices

Same problem here. I couldn't get my USB LWFF to work in GP3. So I set up my
old MSFF non-USB wheel, and bingo, it works. Hows that for GP3's modern
cutting edge software....
