I have been waiting for someone to ask this question and maybe someone
already has. Why doesn't the SIGS update work the way it was intended to? I
tried using it to update my Nascar2 and it failed to recognize the latest
patch for my version. It found the IE patch from December but that was
all...
The only way I could update was via the FTP site. Anyone have any ideas as
to why the SIGS does not work???
The Autoupdate won't get the patch because you have to get the
specific patch for your version 1.00 or 1.01. The patch will upgrade
to 1.02. Autoupdate doesn't know which version of N2 you have, and
thus wouldn't know which patch you would need.
After you get patched to 1.02, you can get the second patch to update
N2 to its latest version. Since there are 3 patches, and you have to
do them in a specific order, I guess Sierra decided it would be best
if the owner had to select which patches they needed.
