Hiya all,

Well I've long been a fan of the old Nascar Racing 2 by Papyrus.
I'm not such a fan of Nascar as such, but what I love about the
game is that I can paint all the cars to look like my friends
cars, police cars, tv cars, news cars etc, which may sound silly
to some of you, in which case it's not you I'm asking :)

I also really like the Need for Speed series, and play NFS4 more
than any other game.

What I'm wondering now is, is there a game, similar in
playability to the old nascar, where I can paint the cars to
look like my friends cars etc, and can race with a whole stack
of other cars in a race?

I looked at the demo for nascar racing 4, and not only didn't it
mention being able to modify the cars like that, but you were
stuck with the in-car view, which, while I don't mind it, I do
like an outside view sometimes.

So does anyone have any suggestions for a game which would suit
my needs?

Regards

N4 is just like N2 that you are used to, only 100 times better.  the demo
just had all that stuff disabled

You want NASCAR Heat -- FAR better than N2/N3, and as expandable as
NFS4.

Check out this site for some info on NASCAR Heat add-ons:

Enjoy!

In rec.autos.simulators, on 14 Nov 2001, Mike Grandy
announced:

Great, I'll have another look at it - The info the demo gave on
the extra features in the full thing wasn't that detailled...
maybe I have an early demo and didn't yet know what was going to
be in it....

Thanks
