Need CART Game Recommendation

I'm into NASCAR 3 & 4 for my PC, but I've also been getting into CART/Indy
car racing on TV. Can anyone recommend the game with the best graphics and
most realism for CART or Indy for the PC. Can you also include a link to a
site or sites for Demos, reviews, etc? Thanks.

this is a cut and paste from another thread down below..
For the best feel of CART, unfortunately there are few options right now.
ICR2(Indy Car Racing 2 also called Cart Racing) remains to this day...7 or
so years after it's release to be the only real CART package.
However, for the look of CART with some spiced up physics to match, the
new
patch for Nascar Heat is pretty close...CART Heat is a great effort.  While
the cars LOOK like Champ Cars, they are really still Winston Cup cars, for
example, you
can run your front tire into the rear tire of another car..In CART this
would send
you skyrocketing into the air...but since the invisible fenders and bumpers
are
still there, you can't touch wheels.(at least not front to back...the sides
may
be exposed I don't know)  There is a beta here...make sure to also dload the
2nd version of the physics.

There is also another CART patch called CART 2000 which is very close to
release, it will be available for both F12000 and F1CS2000 with a separate
patch
for each.  The drawbacks of both....not very many CART tracks and no real
modeling
of the incar settings..weight jackers and the like...and fuel strategies are
different.

But dang!  compared to ICR2...they look MARVELOUS.
Blackhole motorsports and other sites that support multiple sims will have
the word
I'm sure, when both these efforts are final...

Does my clock run slow or something? :)   Everyone talks about GPL
being 3-4 years old (when it was released just over 2 1/2 years ago).
ICR2 was released in late '95, less than 5 1/2 years ago.  CART Racing
was a renaming/repackaging about a year later.

There was also Microsoft's CART:Precision Racing (aka CPR :) around
Fall '97(?), but it had some serious flaws (including the "support" on
RAS, which was mostly a PR campaign trying to convince us it wasn't as
bad as we thought it was...) that let down an otherwise decent first
effort.  Worth picking up as a cut-out, though.

"But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was
nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark

"Jeff Vincent" <
Sorry, I have always had a problem with the past....anything
further back than last week all bleeds into the same mishmash...so
I 'guessed' at the age of the sim...Remember, I had the Indy 500 sim
for the Amiga...which was probably a year sooner than it hit the pc...
so I KNOW it was at least 2 weeks old.. :>   Didn't ICR2 ship
with the 3 car Penske team of Unser Jr/Fittipaldi/Tracey??  Wasn't that
the 95 season?  (see how easy it is to confuse me????)

recomendation...I could not in good conscience
mention that title.. :)

The three car Penske effort was 1994 I think.  ICR2 was released in late 1995.
